Dealing With My Scars
There are decisions you wish you could take back. Choices you made under pressure, in fear, or in frustration that left marks you still carry today. Maybe it’s a relationship that fell apart, a move you regret, a season where you walked away from the Lord—whatever it is, the ripple effects are still with you. And sometimes the weight of those scars makes it feel like your story is permanently damaged.
In Ruth 1, we meet a family that left the “house of bread” in a time of famine and went to Moab, a place far from God’s heart. The decisions made there brought deep loss and left Naomi carrying the scars of what had happened.
And it’s in those kinds of moments—when our past choices seem to define us—that we quietly wonder if God can still work with what’s left.
Today Pastor Jeff reminds us that while our decisions can leave real scars, they don’t have to be the end of our story. As we watch Naomi’s journey unfold, we’re invited to bring our own regrets and disappointments back into the hands of a God who still knows how to lead us forward.
