Westminster Calvary does not take a formal offering, but we do recognize giving as a New Testament responsibility of every believer. Christians are called to enjoy surrendered hearts of giving and according to (2 Corinthians 8:8 & 24).
Here are a few general guidelines seen in scripture to help you grow in your walk with Jesus.
#1 - Heart of Giving:
(2 Corinthians 9:7) God loves a cheerful giver.
(Mark 12:41-44) New Testament giving is commended by Jesus.
(Luke 16:10-13) Use of money reveals the heart.
#2 - Timing and Proportion of Giving:
(1 Corinthians 16:1-2) Giving is a regular, weekly event.
(2 Corinthians 8:12-14) Giving is in direct proportion to income.
(2 Corinthians 9:5-6) Giving is prepared in advance and should be generous.
#3 - Grace of Giving:
(2 Corinthians 8:7) Giving is a Christian's grace to abound in.
(Malachi 3:8-11) God's people took advantage of God by not being mindful of this.
(Matthew 23:23) Jesus does mention tithing in the New Testament, not as a law, but a willing heart to do God's will.
We encourage you to participate in the work of God with regular, generous offerings as an act of worship. May The Lord richly bless you!
