Who's Your Representative?

It’s been said before that we’re not sinners because we have sinned, but we’re sinners because we were born that way and therefore we sin! Today we’re continuing our study through the book of Romans and pick up at the end of chapter 5. Paul is teaching us about federal headship which is a theological term that can be confusing. The essence is that Adam represents all of humanity and his decision to sin affects the rest of us accordingly. In short, the consequences of sin are passed from generation to generation which results in both spiritual and physical death. Why does this matter to you and I? Because Jesus came to take away the sting of sin and death!
