Lasting Consequences of Bad Decisions

Thousands of years ago, there was a man named Abram who was living a normal life in a secular culture. This man experienced many good things, but he was also familiar with pain and discouragement. One day God interrupted this mans life and promised to do something special with him BUT he had to leave everything he ever knew and follow God by faith. Abram was an unlikely candidate to receive favor from God, and yet he would become an example of faith for us to pattern our lives after. Throughout his life we see God consistently giving promises of blessing to Abram, problems of faltering in faith, and praise of God’s faithfulness. These are the common experiences we all wrestle with in a life of faith - believing God, but also wrestling with the weakness of our flesh!
