When My Freedom Affects Others

In 1 Corinthians 8:1-13, the Apostle Paul instructs believers on how Christian liberty must always be governed by love rather than personal rights. While theological knowledge is valuable, knowledge alone can lead to pride if it is not used to build up the church family. Every believer carries a unique personal history and conscience, making spiritual care and sensitivity for one another essential. Exercising freedom at the expense of causing a fellow believer to stumble is an offense against Christ Himself. Ultimately, Christian maturity yields personal rights for the spiritual health and encouragement of others.
