Turning Point

Have you ever wished you could start over? Kids play video games with a restart option. Golfers have a certain term (mulligan) means you can take a wayward shot back. It always feels nice to start something fresh to start from scratch with a clean slate! New Years Day often becomes a moment where many of us take time to look back at what we’ve been through prepare for the future to contemplate the moments of life. Today we're going to study (Ps. 78) of Asaph and it’s labeled a Psalm of Contemplation. Asaph was a gifted worship leader & poet around the time of David & Solomon. He wrote many songs and created a lineage of worshippers. Asaph tells a sad story of how God’s people became forgetful / faithless / foolish and ended up in complete failure. Israel had made many mistakes and caused a lot of problems for generations to come.
