The Hypocrite In The Mirror
What does Christian hypocrisy actually look like?
In Isaiah 29:13-16, God confronts people who knew how to say the right things, participate in worship, and appear spiritual—while their hearts were far from Him.
Jesus later quoted this same passage when confronting the Pharisees. Their problem wasn't simply that they were imperfect. They had become more concerned with outward appearances, religious traditions, and the faults of others than with surrendering their own hearts to God.
In this Bible study, we look at:
• What Jesus meant when He called someone a hypocrite
• What “judge not” really means in Matthew 7
• The difference between biblical accountability and hypocritical judgment
• How religious activity can become disconnected from genuine faith
• Why hidden sin eventually becomes a problem of authority
• How God forms men and women of genuine character and integrity
God isn't looking for lip service or an outward religious appearance. He wants our hearts.
