Sin Shows our Need for God's Grace

Mar 12, 2024

The good news of the Gospel is that the promises given to us as Christians, are not dependent upon our righteousness. Jesus told us that the new covenant between God and his people is all about what Jesus has done for us on the cross, not our performance of living as Christians. Isn’t that awesome!?

As we study through the book of Romans today, Paul will be addressing two threats that the church was dealing with in his day. These are the same Threats that are creeping their way into the churches across America today. First, they were misunderstanding that salvation was about accepting Christ AND working hard for their salvation. Next, they were mislead into thinking that their immoral lifestyle was ok once they were saved. In both instances we’re taught that sin doesn’t glorify God & holy living is a RESULT of walking closely with Jesus. Thankfully, it’s God who seeks the sinner, cleans and purifies the sinner, and who keeps the sinner in His grip of grace!
